I'm an Administration Manager with a Northern Canadian retailer during the day. During the evenings, I spend time with family and write content to post to the web.
Activities:
I spend a lot of my spare time writing, despite enjoying a host of other activities. For the time being, my focus is establishing myself more online so that I can take a little break to do other things I enjoy.
Interests:
I enjoy photography, especially photos of nature. It doesn't matter whether of animals, sunsets, bodies of water, mountains or flowers - I love the aspect of taking photographic shots in the great outdoors.
I also enjoy reading and writing - especially poetry and fiction. I enjoy jigsaw puzzles as well as logic problems. Cooking and baking are some of my most relaxing past times ... and traveling; I'm not sure if anything can beat traveling, when the opportunity presents itself.
Favorite Music:
I mostly listen to instrumentals, gospel music, some country and jazz music. I have developed an interest in Classical music over recent years as well. If I hear a pop song with a good melody and the words have a beautiful meaning, I enjoy it.
Heavy metal is not my style. It just doesn't hold any meaning for me whatsoever.
Favorite TV Shows:
I enjoy Law & Order and the occasional drama or family sitcom. I don't spend a whole lot of time watching TV, however, and programs with live studio audiences wear my nerves thin after a short period of time.
Favorite Movies:
There are some movies I've seen which I have really enjoyed. However, I am more along the type of person who enjoys certain actors more so than to say I have favorite movies.
I enjoy watching Morgan Freeman, Jackie Chan, Sandra Bullock, Cuba Gooding, Jr, Richard Gere and George Clooney. There are the chief actors which come to mind at a moments notice.
Favorite Books:
I have favorite books but they are largely by the same few authors: Max Lucado, Terri Blackstock, Karen Kingsbury, Dee Henderson, Deborah Bedford and Kiersten Heitzmann. In the secular industry, Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb would be among two of my favorites.
Favorite Quotations:
I hear quotations sometimes which really stand out and I mean to remember them; it doesn't happen. I tend to remember my own quotes and, this year, one of the major ones is this:
"Setting goals you can attain are building blocks to making your dreams come true."
I have a lot of dreams at the present moment and I'm working toward making each one come true. :)
However, another important one I've carried with me throughout my life is this: "When in doubt, say no. You can always change your mind at a later date."

It's quite all-encompassing. Because I work with a retail business, I am responsible for not only the customer service administration office, but I oversee the cash register areas as well as the post office. I have an average of 8 -10 people reporting to me on any given slower day, with a total of 15-18 different people coming directly under my command.
